Hapoel Emek Hefer’s Basketball Academy offers standout players from across Israel a one-of-a-kind path that pairs high-level basketball with academic excellence. Our philosophy is simple: to reach their full potential on the court, players need peace of mind, a supportive environment, and every part of their lives working in sync. Here, the school, the residence, and the team all work together — with the player at the center.
How It Works
At Hapoel Emek Hefer, the pieces don't run in isolation — the Ramot Yam School, our League Teams, and the Mevo'ot Yam residence all connect into one coordinated framework.
Academy players attend classes and practice in the mornings at Ramot Yam, then join Hapoel Emek Hefer’s league teams in the afternoon. Players who live outside the region can also live at the residence on the same campus.

Academics at an outstanding school are combined with morning practices for Ramot Yam’s high school team, which competes in Israel’s top high school league. Practices are led by club coaches specializing in individual skill development.

Atid Mevo’ot Yam Residence
Designed for players who live outside the region and want to join the Ramot Yam Academy and Hapoel Emek Hefer. The residence provides housing, meals, a residential counselor, and a structured daily routine — all within walking distance of the school and the club’s practice facilities.

The greatest challenge for young athletes is managing the workload and the pressure of a packed schedule. The Academy’s biggest advantage is the complete coordination between every part of the program.
One management team coordinates it all: A key league game coming up? The school is aware and adjusts the academic workload. Final exam season or a major test? The coaching staff adjusts the practice load. Every detail is carefully planned so players can thrive on the court and in the classroom — without compromise.

Ramot Yam’s combined middle and high school works in full coordination with the club to ensure Academy players receive an outstanding education alongside the demands of a high-level basketball program. The school has extensive experience supporting high-performing student-athletes, and its leadership and teaching staff provide tailored academic plans, tutoring, and maximum flexibility during busy competition periods and final exams. We believe strong academic and critical-thinking skills are the foundation for excellence on the court, and we help every player thrive in both worlds.

An Integrated Player Development Program
The Academy’s basketball model is built on full collaboration between Ramot Yam’s high school team and Hapoel Emek Hefer’s youth department. Players follow a fully coordinated two-a-day practice schedule — mornings and afternoons — built around their academic responsibilities. The results speak for themselves: our top youth teams have reached National Championship finals for several consecutive years; our alumni have gone on to play college basketball in the US, in Israel’s Liga Leumit (National League – D2) and Ligat Ha’Al (Premier League – D1), and in top leagues across Europe. One of our alumni is now in the NBA.

The Residence at Mevo’ot Yam Youth Village
For players coming from outside the region, the residence at Mevo’ot Yam Youth Village offers a supportive, family-like home. Players receive close personal guidance from residential counselors, nutritious meals in the shared dining hall, and a social environment that builds personal responsibility and deep friendships. The logistical advantage is significant: the residence, classrooms, gyms, and dining hall are all located on one green campus, within a short walk of one another. This gives players more valuable time to rest, study, and recover.
